I quietly saw Tom hidding under the playground near my HDB. Tom roams around the neighbourhood alot, hidding from some cruel humans who ill-treat them... But Tom is sometimes pretty dumb too, whoever feeds him, he comes out..... Hey, legend says their kind has 9 lifes! Hmmm, RISE from the dead huh?

Just when I was digging into my mango pudding, I saw Tom sneaking his way through the kitchen hallway. The first thing it came in my head was he was sneaking out again for his regular drinks at Pest-Bar, well of course without his wife's permission... Tom is the most caring husband you can ever spot in my world, not only he brings home bags of flies to feed the family everyday, rain/shine, he also almost never once disagree with his wife's opinions! Oh, to many of us he might seems like a timid dude who can't lift his head up.

Tom's wife from the female-species association, some more the chief for the Male-Female Equality Treatment project... Beats me dude, as those females always like to come out with fresh ideas to get their husbands along... Tom was suppose to carry the banner for his wife at the convention today, well seems he escaped! But Tom was a bad lier, and he always freak out when he do something wrong, and he always leave his trace behind (the tail)...

Tom was moving so fast that my camera wasn't quick enough to snap shot him clearly.... All best to his sneaking......

Before the night sets in, I was strolling along the "alley of food" if you can set your eyes on the photo on the left, well and if luck really kicks in, who knows I might fetch back a surprising gift for my family (usually chewed bubble gums, potato chips, half eaten sweets, or even cat food).

Humans in the other way named this place their "corridors". Boring humans like to mess around alot this alley of food of mine, they spend most of their times moving pots and pots of plants or flowers along the alley. Almost for sure a week, you can see these dumb boring humans changing the positions of their little garden again & again...

We loved when they pay more attentions to their little garden wonderland. Interesting things are often found just like the small cute chilli padi, lime, long beans, aleo vera, and some weirdo spices. I never learn to appreciate those humans' food while they are say uncooked, but what I really think good is they always learn to improve their way of creating their so-called Zen environment. Just when I was crawling back round the corner, oh oh I saw Mozz. Mozz is a professional, some folks say he works for some Pest Government Assault Force, the P-GAF! Gee, sometimes I really wonder why his mouth always had stain of red paint?

Mozz was busily moving around the pot of water laying on the pot holding the flower, and just when I was about to call out to him, he flied away into the bedroom of unit 08-456. Darn is he quick!!! Maybe all mosquitos moves that fast, but I felt Mozz is the real champ... Ok friends, thats all for today and happily must really enjoy your weekends.

How come all plants on one side?

Above is a night view of an HDB environment, the fading blue sky soon turns dark & the HDBs lights glows......

Brought to you by Jak Cockroach

Humans, well most of them live in HDBs... They are apartments spreading over the entire island of Singapore, but usually very few of them hits over 25 floors up into the sky. We the pestanians, including cockroaches, ants, spiders, mosquitos, houseflies move in together with them but we stay in warmer corners of the apartments because we really can't tahan the darn cold air aka air-conditioner humans used to keep their freaky room cold.

Of course, living on a tropical island where summer is all year round, the only cooler times we get are rainy days or sometimes we prefer crawling across the malls' supermarket to chill ourselves down and tuck into the display of foods there...

Me and my families brought ourselves a simple decent 4-room HDB apartments in the West side of the island. With the decent payroll of just five OREO biscuits a month, and miserable bonus of another some pieces of dropped foods by the humans (if you are lucky to spot one before those hardworking ants). Water supply are toughen up these few years, humans are looking at every single drop of them closely and they even re-use and re-use and re-use them for many purposes! Bet they're on some tight budget too huh? Anyway, life here is good as we never get bored too easily unlike those local humans do.

I always hear them complaining the island is too small to have fun or not being allowed to do these or that... "Hey, we pestanians REALLY LOVE it and appreciate!" So much a facilities over on this big island, hmmm I'm still wondering why the humans always say this island is small? Dumb humans..... Well, so much for the brief introduction to the HDBs, next time I, Jak will bring you'll tour around some of the interesting corners of HDBs and never forgetting the funny acts of humans.....
Look at all the HDBs on this island...
